March Angel Food Menu – Allergy Free
Let’s talk about food allergies. Cooking the March Bountiful Blessing Box
We’ve already talked about all the great items in this month’s Bountiful Blessing Box. Today, we introduce “Cooked by An Angel” to help us all prepare simple meals from those items. Learn to make honey glazed chicken, spaghetti with meat sauce, hamburger steaks, baked flounder, rosemary chicken breasts, and apricot pork chops. Six easy meals. $41. [order now].
March Angel Food Menu – Just 4 Me
Next in our look at the March Angel Food menu is the “Just 4 Me” line. These boxes are “kid friendly” so children can easily prepare the items or enjoy easy, healthy snacks and/or light meals.
The first box from this line is the “Just 4 Me After School” box. The items inside can be quickly and easily prepared after school using a microwave or with no cooking at all. This month, there are 11 different items ranging from corn dogs and stuffed sandwiches to string cheese and Italian ice. At my house, many of the items – like the corn dogs – are used to stretch family meals that are mostly leftovers. With a family of five, it’s hard to make leftovers fill up everyone, so we warm them up and also cook something from this box. It works out well for the finicky kids who may not enjoy leftovers a whole lot. [order now]
The “Just for Me After School Fruit & Veggie” box is exactly what it sounds like. It’s an assortment of fruits and veggies that kids typically enjoy. There’s also simple, healthy things like trail mix. It’s gives kids (or anyone) the ability to have a healthy snack without having to cook or prepare anything. [order now]
The “Just 4 Me No child Goes Without” box is the latest addition to this line. It contains items that are convenient to warm up and enjoy. The concept is rooted in programs like the Boomerang Backpack program that exists locally – with an overall mission to provide the ability for children of families who have limited incomes and resources to have nourishment on the weekends since they are not at school where they may have free lunch programs. March Angel Food Menu – Fast and Flavorful
One great monthly mainstay on the Angel Food Ministries menu is the Fast and Flavorful Cuisine.
Long-time Angel Foodies might know this as the “convenience meal box” or “senior box”. It is developed to be ideal for a senior citizen or diabetic diet. But it’s a healthy and simple choice for anyone.
This box is $28 for ten individually packaged meals that microwaves in just minutes. That’s $2.80 a meal.
Great for lunches and far cheaper than a “value meal” at the drive-thrus (about half the cost as a matter of fact).
Take a look at this month’s menu. The main protein items include:
White Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Fish Sticks, Salisbury Steak, Chicken Chow Mein, Turkey with Gravy over bread Dressing, Boneless Pork Patty, Beef Stew, Meatball Stroganoff, White Chicken and Penne.
March Angel Food Menu – The Bob, Signature and Triple-B
Back to our look at the March Angel Food Ministries Menu: Today, we’re going to present the three core boxes: Bit O’ Blessing, Bread of Life Signature, and Bountiful Blessing.
We like to look at it as Small, Medium and Large because, well, one is small, one is large and one falls in between. Simple, right?
When you break each box down into the number of full meals, the boxes generally come out to about 5-6 dollars a meal. That’s generally what you pay for one person at your usual drive-thru places!
The Bit O’ Blessing Box [order now] or “the BOB” as we like to call it, has 9 items for $21. With a Chicken Stir Fry, Chicken Fettucchini Alfredo and Lasagna to go veggie blend, with meatballs, and green beans respectively, plus the ground beef and French fries, we’re guessing there are 4 quality dinners. The frozen mango is perfect or a breakfast, after dinner treat or add it to some other mixed fruit to serve even more!
The Bread of Life Signature Box [order now] at $31 will get a family about 5-6 meals. In addition to the protein items and vegetables, and meal components like pasta, tortillas and corn muffin mix, there are common stables like eggs and milk (which is shelf stable for several months).
The Bountiful Blessing Box [order now] (or “Triple-B”) also contains the staple items like the Signature Box and features all the same protein items plus hamburger patties, a beef stir fry meal, tomato basil soup and some “extras” like a raspberry muffin mix and beef flavored vermicelli mix.
March Angel Food Menu – PJ Premium Box
Continuing our look at the March Angel Food Ministries menu, let’s look at the newest addition, Pastor Joe’s Premium Box. This box is unlike any other that Angel Food features.
While, at first blush, it might be for those who have expensive tastes, that’s really a misconception. The box is designed to allow you to make meals similar to what you would be served at a nice restaurant, without the extras that are used to round out meals that are in the other boxes. We’re talking about things like cornbread mixes, rice, etc.
Take a look at what’s included in this great offering:
Now, obviously, these are not meals you’d make for the kids. We’re talking about some big ole’ steaks, shrimp and awesome complements! We’re guessing you could get 4-5 meals for the average couple. That’s 8-10 total meals for $51. Not sure where you all eat, but for my family, that would range from $135 to $170 total.

March Angel Food Menu – Online Only Specials
Going to do something fun this month. Between now and the order deadline on March 20th, we’ll post about each of the options on our menu. Maybe we’ll also throw in some recipes, serving suggestions and other tips for thrift to help you save a buck or two while enjoying some awesome food!
First up, the Online Only Specials:
It seems appropriate to start with them since there is a limited supply and, therefore, a limited opportunity to order. Each month, Angel Food Ministries makes these available for purchase only through online ordering – so you won’t see them on our printed menu.
This month, there are three selections:
- A 5 Pound Variety Box containing: 1.5 lb. Bacon-Wrapped Turkey Fillets, 1.5 lb. Pork Chops and 2 lb. Beef Roast — $22
- An 8.5 Pound Variety Box containing: 4 lb. Breaded Chicken Breast Bites, 3 lb. Pork Roast, 1.5 lb. Boneless Chicken Breast Fillets (6 x 4 oz.) and a 2 lb. Pork Roast — $24
- A 10 Pound Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks Box — $17

Remember – ANYONE qualifies to order (becuase there are no qualifiations) and you may order WHATEVER YOU WANT – you don’t have to order the signature box to be able to order specials. If all you want is a special, go for it!
